Welcome to Wood Duck Island
A community of Spanish-style townhomes
arranged in seven garden courtyards
Grand Harbor, Vero Beach, Florida

Designed by
Robert A.M. Stern in 1988
“Courtyard Houses at Wood Duck Island” received a National Honor Award, from American Instititute of Architects in 1991. For Stern, resorts provided an image of communitarian stability that the real world fails to provide. Wood Duck Island is the only community within Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club development by a renowned architect.
Tranquil Setting
A live-oak esplanade leads to our fountained square, an ideal meeting place for neighbors to socialize. The courtyards are surrounded by the Grand Harbor River Golf Course, sanctuary habitat wetlands and Audubon Nature Gardens.

Garden Courtyards
Attached townhouses are organized around garden courts inspired by Andalusian villages visited by the architect. Each home has a private back patio and intimate garden setting.
Manicured Native Habitat
Grand Harbor is proud to be part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses designed for the environment so that both economic and environmental objectives are realized.

Private and Secure Grand Harbor
Grand Harbor opened in 1988. We are one of two dozen independent Property Associations within Grand Harbor. Wood Duck Island has a great location, close to the main Clubhouse and multiple sports facilities.
Grand Harbor Golf
and Beach Club
Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club offers a wide variety of recreational and social activities. Beach Club on the ocean, two state of the art golf courses, tennis, pickleball, bocce, fitness and more. (membership required)
